"Thanks for the great information on Direct-Hit. We use it a lot to assure our diagnosis. More and more we are checking with Direct-Hit first. Recently we had a '98 Dodge Ram 1500 2WD P/U with VIN Y 5.2L V8 in for repair. Repair order stated, " battery goes dead overnight". The usual checks were performed, and a parasitic draw test confirmed a 0.375 amp draw. After a lengthy isolation process (vehicle had several after-market components!), we narrowed it down to the Seat Belt Control Timer Module! Needing reassurance I checked Direct-Hit. "I first received a call from Bruce at Identifix who spoke to me about the service you provide. It just so happened that we were having a problem with my son's 96 Infiniti I-30. We had a no start problem only when the car was cold. We had changed 2 sensors and had no luck. I told Bruce if you could help me out with this problem, I will try the service. Bruce had a technician call back about fifteen minutes later and told us to check three possible problems. The first was a missing or bad fuse in the fuse panel. We checked and sure enough the fuse was missing. We replaced the fuse and solved the problem. We have since used Identifix Direct-Hit on a regular basis.
